My name is Ryan Murphy and I am the founder of P3 Wellness .Through my career as a Kinesiologist, Pilates Teacher and Coach, 3 words have stood out as important avenues to growth: Practice, Purpose and Perspective.
Whether you are recovering from an injury, improving sports performance or trying to find meaning in your life you will need to work on all 3.
So I decided to build a in person and virtual workshop to help people build practices with purpose and through them gain perspective about what health + wellness means for them.
You will find vlogs, blogs and links to others where you can learn about:
Strength
Mobility
Awareness
Nutrition
Philosophy + Mindset + Goal Setting
Come take a journey with us and find how you can build a practice that not only fits your life, but the life you want to build.
Ryan Murphy
Owner, Kinesiologist, Pilates Teacher and Trainer
My education in Kinesiology has helped me understand the science of human movement: the anatomy that shapes our structure, the physiology that shapes the myriad of internal systems and the psychology that guides the interactions between our mind and body.
My work as a Kin over the last decade has included work in physio clinics, gyms and pilates studios where I came to understand that my education had just begun when I graduated from university. It helped me to see the importance of the phrase “I don’t know” and how working with a team of diverse perspectives and experiences is the best way to help clients find growth, but also for me to expand my own perspective.
As a Personal Trainer I've learned how to use movements, stretches and lifestyle ergonomics to shape the body in any direction you desire. I have created tools to clarify exactly what that direction is and to create practices to build them in a way that works for you. I've learned how to motivate clients to transform their lives by active listening and empathy, but also accountability and the ability to challenge limiting beliefs.
As a Pilates Teacher I've learned that by bringing attention to the patterns that guide our movements, posture & breath we can begin the process of shaping them in the direction we desire. Core has come to mean something deeper than a six pack to me. It's about how we control the centre of our body from which where stability emanates.
If you decide to work with me, I will help to show you how you don't need to fit in a predetermined box in order to become stronger, more flexible or to improve your health. We can design your practice around you and help it become something that will transform your life into the one you've been searching for.
