When I moved to Vancouver Island and had the opportunity to start my own business, it gave me the chance to think about the value I can bring to the world as a Kinesiologist, Pilates Teacher and Personal Trainer. I’ve always seen my role as a teacher and coach and through my work I’ve seen the power of 3 things in helping me help others learn, grow and change things in their lives:

1) Purpose: Defining and clarifying the things you want to see happen, but also the person you want to become and how you want to feel.

2) Practice: When I have a clearer picture of your purpose I can help shape a program of practices which align with your ideal outcomes, but also connect to the character and identity you want to build. (“Purposeful Practice”)

3) Perspective: There are many ways to look at any situation and when we can explore our ideas, beliefs and opinions, we can start to see how they shape our experience. Then we can shape our own perspective by reinforcing our purpose within our practice and build a nourishing internal narrative within our life.

Anyone who steps foot into a gym or studio wants to Grow, Learn or Change.

You have a purpose, even if it’s sometimes unclear or may have no standard for success.

After over a decade helping people move in gyms, clinics and studios, I’ve realized what most of us need isn’t the “right” set of exercises, but a set of processes that help create better habits.

The Processes we focus on at P3 Kinesiology are building strong fundamentals in Strength, Mobility, Mindset and Nutrition.

Strength is the ability to create and/or withstand force. -This includes doing things like: lifting weights, moving your body quickly, bracing your core while moving a limb, moving with precision, accuracy and control.

*Strength practices can be adapted for any ability level, desired goals and equipment available.

Mobility includes working on improving the flexibility of your muscles and the ability to move through the range of motion of your joints. (Foam Rolling, Trigger Point Release, Stretching, Active Range of Motion, Pilates, Yoga, Breathing, Meditation)

*Mobility practices can be adapted for any flexibility/ability level, desired goals and equipment available.

Mindset includes setting clear intentions and actions through goal setting, workout tracking, meal tracking, mantras, daily gratitude and reflection.

Nutrition includes both planning and tracking of the foods and supplements you use to nourish your body. I will help you create a plan and build perspective on how you integrate the plan into your life.
